Danielle holds a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Performance (majoring on saxophone) and is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Community Music program at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has spent the past 20+ years building a career as a performer, clinician, accompanist and private instructor for woodwinds, piano and music theory.
She currently teaches at the Laurier Academy of Music & Arts, offering private and group lessons to people of all ages and experience levels. Danielle is deeply committed to music education and community development. Starting in 2022, she became the coordinator for the KW Kiwanis Music Festival, and recently the founder of the Kiwanis Music Education Fund, a bursary program helping those who can't afford the cost of music lessons.
Danielle is active in the Kitchener-Waterloo area as a performer and enjoys a diverse range of musical styles, from classical to jazz, rock to R&B and soul. She regularly performs solo and duo concerts that explore the classiccal saxophone repertoire and has led the saxophone section in the Wellington Winds Symphony for several years. She plays with local rock tribute bands including Peral: A Janice Joplin Experience, The Crazy Diamonds Band: A Pink Floyd Tribute and Stealing Dan (a Stealy Dan tribute). She has also played saxophones, flute and clarinet for many musical theatre productions including Cabaret, Guys & Dolls, The Addams Family, Bye Bye Birdie, Seussical the Musical, Shrek the Musical, Grease and The Wizard of Oz.
